Veteran's Day Memorial

Today we went to the Veteran's day Memorial. It was very rainy but everyone was so glad to be there. We had Brother Romm come and speak to us about his service in the Army and also about his family's military service.

The Cubs had lots of questions. Brother Romm also showed the boys how to unfold the flag and then how to fold it back again.

We then left flowers on the Memorials. Several Veterans thanked the Cubs for remembering. Our treat was sweet. Sister Norr brought doughnuts and hot cocoa...it was a great way to warm up. Dallin was steaming up his glasses for us.

Thank you Brother Romm for your words today and also your action in the Army.

11/11 Veteran's Day

We are meeting on 11/11 Veteran's day at 8 am at Cindy's home. We are going to Memorial Park for a flag ceremony. After the ceremony the Cubs will write their thoughts and thank yous to the Veterans. This will be a reverent activity. Please have your Cubs wear their uniform and bring their books. If the Cubs have a relative or a friend that is serving they may share their story. If you have pictures you may bring them. Thank you for your support. We will see you at 8am on Tuesday! Please call if you need a ride.

Pack Meeting

Pack meeting was Thursday. It was great! Scott Norr came and instructed the Cubs on the correct and respectful way to do a flag ceremony. The Cubs did great, thank you so much Scott! Eric earned his Communicator pin. Way to go, Eric! The Den leaders challenged the parents and Cubs to completing achievement 3A and J before next Pack. We will be asking for reports on how it went! Have fun with the challenge!
